محدثه فلاحت (مادر مهدیه و امین احمدزاده، دو دانش‌آموز شهید)
April 3, 2026

Mohaddese Fallahat (Mother of Mahdieh and Amin Ahmadzadeh, two martyred students)

The mother of two Minab children who were martyred in the criminal US attack on the Shajareh Tayyebeh school recounted the last moments of her meeting with her daughters in a video call at the UN Human Rights Council session. Mohaddese Fallahat said: "That morning (the US attack on the Minab school) was like always. Everything was normal for me, as always—preparing their shoes by the door, combing their hair, and putting their backpacks on their shoulders. There was no sign that this was the last time." She continued: "As they went out the door, they said, 'Mom, come pick us up after school.' This simple sentence now repeats a thousand times in my mind, and each time my heart burns with pain. No mother thinks she will send her child to school with a smile, but instead be faced with a deadly silence. No mother is prepared to hear the sentence, 'Your child is not coming back.'" On the morning of March 28, 2026, in the first hours of the US and Israeli war against Iran, the Shajareh Tayyebeh private elementary and preschool in Minab was attacked. More than 168 students and teachers were martyred. According to a Reuters report citing two US officials, a preliminary US military investigation shows that US forces were 'likely' responsible for the attack on this school. Written and video sources confirmed that the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab was targeted with a Tomahawk missile — which only the US military uses in this war. A significant number of European and American media outlets, in verifying the attack, concluded that the US strike was intentional and informed, given prior intelligence. An emergency session of the UN Human Rights Council to review the attack was held at the request of Iran, China, and Cuba.
