Minab in Mourning: 40th Day Memorial Ceremony for Shajareh Tayyibeh Martyrs
On the 40th day following the Minab school tragedy, thousands gathered at the ruins of the Shajareh Tayyibeh school to honor the memory of the martyred children. The ceremony, titled "In Memory of the Butterflies of Minab," featured the unveiling of a profound conceptual art installation. The work consists of 2,000 translucent crimson butterflies suspended from 72 strands beneath the fractured roof, symbolizing the innocent ascension of students who lost their lives in a single moment. This memorial was not merely a day of mourning but a powerful symbol of national solidarity. Children and teenagers, dressed in their school uniforms and carrying flowers, sent a message of resilience and the continuation of education to the world. Alongside the ceremony, the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults organized an exhibition of paintings and writings recovered from the school debris, drawing significant international media attention.
